The Seattle Breast Center at Northwest Hospital encourages patients to learn more about breast cancer. In addition to the information provided on this site, there are books and other breast cancer sites that may be useful to you and your family. Lymphedema Program - Located in the Center for Medical Rehabilitation, the Lymphedema Program is a specialty program designed to decrease the risk of infection and reduce swelling of body parts following a cancer diagnosis. Therapy includes lymphatic mobilization; compression bandaging, exercise, and skin care with the goal of learning self-management techniques. Treatment is provided by licensed Occupational and Physical Therapists, who are specially trained in Lymphedema management. More information is available by calling 206.368.1769.

Wig Bank - The Seattle Breast Center offers free wigs and hats to all cancer patients. The wigs are provided through private donations and are washed and styled by the Shoreline Community College Cosmetology students. The wig bank is self-service and drop-hours are 9 a.m.-11 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 2 p.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. More information is available by calling 206.368.1608.

Prosthetic Resources - The Seattle Breast Center offers free breast prosthesis to all cancer patients. Breast prostheses are provided through private donations. More information is available by calling 206.368.1608.

Patient Education Room - The Seattle Breast Center offers a resource library, located near our reception desk that includes educational information on breast health and cancer. The room can also be used for small meetings and patient/physician meetings.
