Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) Therapy
CPAP is the leading therapy for sleep apnea. Patients wear a face or nasal mask during sleep. The mask, connected to a pump, provides a positive flow of air into the nasal passages in order to keep the airway open.
Located adjacent to the Northwest Hospital Sleep Center is a full-service sleep medicine clinic and a CPAP provider to ensure that patients have the convenience of receiving all aspects of consultation, testing and treatment in a single location. A sleep therapy specialist who solely focuses on the unique needs of patients with sleep apnea teaches patients how to use CPAP equipment effectively to improve the quality of their sleep and waketime.
